I had such beautiful experience staying at the Bach for a few days. The amazing walk through the native forest access path and over the bridge past mamaku ferns and Manuka was the start of an experience that I will long savor in my memory. The stunning self contained off grid dwelling in the middle of the bush was so comfortable and peaceful like a hidden world. To be woken in the morning by a dawn chorus of native birds with no one else around gave me such a feeling of peace and connection with everything around me. I'm looking forward to My next visit and would highly recommend to anyone wanting to experience something very rare and very special but also very accessible.

Everybody should take some time out and retreat to Weathertop!
You will find the most beautiful manaakitanga at the most special place, surrounded by raw nature and still handy for all the amazing things that Karamea has to offer.
Liz and Dion are the perfect hosts.....super-interesting and lovely people living simple, intentional lives. They are open and generous with their space, with their warmth and wisdom, and with all the abundance they have laboured, with love, to create. I know what I'm talking about. I keep a-headin' back there and I don't intend to stop.

If you want to get away from it all then this tranquil retreat is just the place. A short walk through the bush leads you to a super cute and cozy cabin thoughtfully constructed from recycled materials with all the essentials for your stay. A world away from the hustle and bustle of life, it’s just the tonic to switch off and reconnect with nature. Liz and D are so creative and resourceful. What they have created here is something very special.
